NIAGARA OUTLET COLLECTION

Working collaboratively with Pellow+Associates Architects, STUDIO tla’s landscape design enhanced the character and appearance of the Niagara Outlet Collection, a modern outlet mall on the outskirts of Niagara-on-the-Lake.  The goal was to attract visitors and customers from the Niagara region as well as from the GTA by creating an interesting, walkable retail experience.  STUDIO tla contributed a unique design of linear gardens and large, multi-purpose open spaces to enhance the retail outlet’s visual appeal.  To encourage pedestrian flow and extend the shopping experience, STUDIO tla designed a children’s play area, outdoor furniture as well as visually interesting hard and soft landscaping.  All of these features integrate relaxation and play within a shopping experience.  Paving, signage and entrances all facilitate ease of entry from parking areas to the walkways and stores.  The design of the linear gardens was intended to reflect the Niagara-on-the-Lake community’s tradition of vibrant floral and plant displays.
