STUDIO tla Participates in Ontario Place Redevelopment Community Meetings

We recently participated in the City of Toronto’s first in-person public engagement meeting about the revitalization of Ontario Place, held at the Beanfield Centre. STUDIO tla’s Jeffrey Craft, Shadi Gilani and Hakima Hoseini collaborated with City planning staff, elected officials, technical experts and facilitators to lead presentations and facilitate discussions with the public about the proposed designs.
Our team shared the proposed design elements for the West Island of Ontario Place featuring a new 11.7-acre park – roughly the size of Rogers Centre – a public beach, a wetland, programming spaces, and relaxing places to take in new views of Lake Ontario and Toronto.
We look forward to participating in future public engagement events, such us an upcoming virtual event also hosted by the City of Toronto, to continue listening and sharing more information in a critical process that is helping to shape the future of Ontario Place.
