STUDIO tla Collaborates with City of Hamilton on Public Engagement for Inch Park Inclusive Play Space
Projects // Jul. 20, 2023
In our role as landscape architects for Inch Park, we’re assisting the City of Hamilton's efforts to gather feedback from the community on the design of an inclusive play space that will feature fun, accessible amenities for local residents and visitors.
This public engagement includes an online survey that details the guiding principles of the design process—a radically inclusive park that is physically, socially and emotionally inviting—and the chance for participants to share their opinions and ideas.
Our experience on numerous projects involving public parks dictates that meaningful community engagement is a critical element in the design process. Gathering a range of viewpoints and perspectives from community members is an opportunity to learn about local needs and concerns, while also gathering ideas and insights that inform the final design.
